Roundicons

Plain-English license

Extended License.

For agencies, template / theme sellers, and teams that need more headroom than Standard. Builds on Standard — read that first.
01

Everything in Standard, with four upgrades

Extended grants every right the Standard License grants — unlimited projects, modification, every platform — and adds the four upgrades below.

If your work falls inside the Standard License limits (under 5,000 icons per project, under 5 designers, no resale-inside-templates), there's no reason to pay for Extended. Standard's coverage is generous on purpose.

02

No per-project icon cap

The Standard 5,000-icon-per-project ceiling is removed. Use any number of icons in any single project.

Practical examples: enterprise design systems documenting the entire product surface; SaaS platforms shipping many features each with their own UI; icon-heavy data-visualisation apps where each topic-area has dedicated glyphs.

03

Templates, themes, plugins, and design systems for sale

You may embed the icons inside products you SELL to end users — WordPress themes, Figma UI kits, Notion templates, Webflow templates, design systems, plugins, app boilerplates.

End users of those products inherit the right to use the icons in their own work AS PART OF your product. They do not inherit the right to extract the icons and use them in unrelated work.

What this enables: you can sell a UI kit on Gumroad that includes Roundicons; a design-system seat on a marketplace; a Figma template with the icons baked in. What it doesn't enable: selling the icons themselves as a standalone library.

04

Up to 25 team seats

Up to 25 designers or developers in your organisation may use the icons under Extended. Enterprise covers up to 50; larger orgs sign custom contracts.

For freelancers and agencies working on client projects: each project counts under YOUR seat allocation, not the client's. The client receives the right to use the icons in the deliverable but does not get a separate Roundicons seat. If the client wants ongoing internal use of the icons beyond your deliverable, they need their own license.

05

What still applies

You may not resell the icons as standalone files — for example, an "icon pack for sale" composed entirely or substantially of Roundicons icons. The icons must be part of a meaningfully-larger product where their value comes from being integrated, not from being the product itself.

You may not sublicense the icons separately from a product you're selling. End users of your product can use the icons in the context of your product but cannot extract them for independent use.

All Standard restrictions on copyright notices, embedded license text, and trademark/copyright filing continue to apply.

You may not include the icons in AI/ML training datasets without an explicit additional license. Email hello@roundicons.com if this is the intended use.

06

Refunds and updates

Same as Standard: 30-day money-back guarantee, free updates for the first year, optional renewal at $49/year. Previously-downloaded icons stay yours regardless of renewal status.

07

Liability and warranty

Same as Standard — icons provided "as is", total liability capped at amount paid, no third-party trademark warranties.

08

Custom enterprise contracts

Engagements above 50 seats, embedded redistribution rights for icon-API products, or compliance-specific terms (SOC2 vendor riders, custom IP indemnification, source-code escrow) are handled via custom contract. Email hello@roundicons.com with a brief of the use case.
